About the Project
The nightstand was completed as a small side project in my spare time. The intent was to create a nightstand that was both simple and functional while using only the one four foot by eight foot sheet of plywood with minimal waste. The legs were sanded down from standard wood dowels found at a hardware store and dipped in white paint. This fabricated piece is made to hold a stack of books in the lower compartment and contain the random items found next to a bed in the inner pocket up high. While the bottom pocket is fully open on both sides to display any books, the upper pocket is only open to one side, made to face the bed and hide the clutter. The legs are screwed together with fasteners and the plywood sheets are all wood glued to maintain a clean look.
